The Flying Popcorn Ranch is a wonderful place to work, play, eat, sleep and relax. Located on the Swan River in beautiful northwest Montana between the Mission Mountains and Bob Marshall Wilderness, our home is a unique place to visit and a fun place to live.
The Mission of the Flying Popcorn Ranch is to learn, practice and teach ecological living skills using permaculture methods. We aim to coexist with the natural world around us while providing for the needs of a small family and local community. Our goal is to live more in harmony with and to help create a more sustainable, peaceful and fun future.
Like our life stories, the story of this place is always unfolding. It is ever in the process of creation and re-creation. Always new, never arriving. There are several projects in the works and many more on the back burner. Some of our future plans include building a wood-fired sauna and installing solar panels so we can become more energy independent.

As working artisans we participate in the Cultural Arts Corridor, a self-guided tour of artist's studios and galleries in the Swan, Clearwater and Blackfoot River valleys. Alpine Artisans, a local non-profit, sponsors year-round self-guided studio tours, including October's 2-day Tour of the Arts, concerts and numerous cultural events.

And fair warning, if you don't buy something from our shop, we might put you to work. This is a working ranch, dude, and winter is always near.
